STORY

We started out in 1995. Petter Losnegård gathered a group of singers as a result of a choir-festival at Karmøy, Norway. Great artists as Edwin Hawkins, Richard Smallwood, Patrick Henderson and many more came to this annual event and inspired a lot of young people to sing gospel music. 

Over the years, Voice of Joy has become one of the most active and loved choirs in Norway and the group has over the last 15 years also toured in the US. Seattle, Dallas, Atlanta, Houston are some of the towns that Voice of Joy has visited. 

In addition to do their own concerts, Voice of Joy has also been doing background vocals or opened up for artists like Kirk Franklin, David Phelps, Andrae Chouch, Gordon Mote and many more. In March 2011 the choir also did background vocals at the "Spellemann"-show in Oslo. "Spellemann" is the Norwegian Grammy and the show is sent live on national TV in Norway.

Voice of Joy is a group of young singers that wants to use all their talents and gifts to lift up the name of the Lord in joyful singing!
